LOOK BOOK

Look Book is a place where you like, express yourself by showing people effectively a fashion diary. So people take pictures, which are painfully similar (generally two pictures cropped next to eachother) with some pretentious title of 'Everything is Ripped' or maybe 'You Applied The Pressure To Help Me Crystalise +'. Seriously? I'm all for expressing yourself but that's just embarrassing.

HERE'S MINE! (THANKZ OLIVIA FOR MODELING 4 HALF OF IT) <3

NOW FOR THE LOOKZ::

1.) PRE-HISTORIC BAB3 MEETZ PUNK ROKAH! ++++++

The Stick suggestsviolence/beating, reinforced bythe studs on the belt, but softened down with the baby blue skirt!! Sooo hot right now!

2.) "DAT GAL WAZ AN INDIE CINDIE" ++++++++I think the beads and the stuffed rat juxtaposes the gritty London scene with the hippy boho vibe. Don't you?

3.) ++ I KAN BARELY LOOK AT YOU DONT TELL ME WHO YOU LOST IT TO +++I really love this piece. Summer meets winter, meets granny chic. The white and black symbolize yin and yang, truth and lies. The gold could symbolize the light at the end of the tunnel, an abstract glimmer of hope lying through the alley ways in Beyond Retro. YA FEEL ME??

4.) I AM REDI TO OWE YOU ANYTHING ***&%%
This is haute couture at its best. The scarf is fluffy and full of texture, reminding us of the winter days, whilst the leotard hits us with the imagery of a ballerina, so when these two different ideas collide as one, it is beyond a masterpiece! I'm totes diggin' it. 4 REAL

5.) PURE EDGE (Drown my sorrowz in my shot glass)
Epitome of glam sophistication. Wearing winter wear in summer? I think so. Fuck the law, fuck the trends, fuck the po po.

HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY LOOKBOOK Y'ALL!!!

hey y'all

Basically, I'm in hibernation mode at the moment. We started filming bits of 'Made in Ealing' and I could not have looked MORE morbidly obese. Literally, I looked like something out of 'Supersize vs. Superskinny'. I was like, 'shitit all makes sense why people think i'm a lesbian! No guyz want an obese chicka' lolz. Anyways, so I attempted to lose weight, and it's kinda working, meaning I've reduced the daily junk from two MacDonalds meals a day, to 1.5. DEDIKATION!!

What else? Oh yeah, I'm totes making big buxx on Ebay, so am rewarding myself by getting my hair dip dyed professionally on Friday! So hyped- i'm thinking coral and lighter blonde at the ends? At this current point in time I'm waiting for Mega Video to stop being an ass hole and let me watch more Pretty Little Liars, because I'm addicted and feel really off the rails staying up at this wild hour (3:47). PUT M3 ON A LEASH! har har

I'm really excited for Latitude, and praying to God the Smith Westerns will play, though I doubt they will, in which case I will travel 2 France to see them, with a banner and some date rape drugs (obvz joking)....

HERE IS A PICTURE OF MY FLAB (I AM PUSHING MA STOMACH OUT) ..I think it's really arty.

Reality Showz

Ok, so I love watching 'The Hills' and the recent, 'Made In Chelsea', but despite the amazing pay, I can't get my head around why people openly sign up to put their 'real' life on display.

I mean, if there were cameras thrown in on my day to day events, it would be me, talking to myself, facebook stalking , and taking h0t pix of me on photobooth cropping in indie bands to make me feel cooler, edgier and all round more luved. The 'drama' would be getting into a row with the news-agent guy over using my card to pay for a tub of Ben And Jerry's.
I fall into this trap of being lured into 'LC's' (Lauren Conrad for all you who ain't up to date) good advice on boyz and friendship, but then I am like 'why is this seemingly smart girl on some t.v show where all her personal shit is revealed?' And most of the stuff is scripted, so effectively she's living a lie (Deep stuff right here).
For me, on some reality thing, I wouldn't be able to feel comfortable with my fringe in a bun, rocking around in gal boxers and a 'Mr.Player' t-shirt.. And that's what I usually wear about the house...

<< Me just chillin' wiv 2 door Cinema (ma boiz) drinking sum beerz an havin a laf!! har har

SPECTOR

I heard Spector at Electric Ballroom a month or two ago, when they were supporting The Vaccines. They were brilliant, playing instantly catchy songs, that the audience immediately responded really well to.

The lead singer rocks the Harry Potter 'geek chic' look, (har har), AND they make long coats look swag. Mostly though, their music kicks ass.

Noisey Launch

On Thursday I went down to the Noisey Party at The Old Blue Last. It was ideal- free drinks, free entry, and performances from Giggs and The Vaccines.

The pub was bustling; you could literally feel the sweat dripping from the ceiling. The Vaccines played an electrifying gig downstairs, and Giggs played upstairs, playing songs such as 'Don't Go There', 'Look Out' and his rap to 'Game Over.' It was pretty amazing. My highlight was when he said 'put your middle fingers up, fuck the law.' Lolz I was like crying, like 'eheheh fuck da law,' while secretly having some panic attack, because I thought I was gonna get crushed.

Here are some photos I took:

ANNA SAMPSON

Interview with The Vaccines

After the Noisey Launch, I saw Arni from the band, so I figured why not? He was really nice, talking about his dislike for LMFAO, and bustin' some dance moves. Later Freddie popped by to say hello. I don't usually use the word 'LIKE' so many times, I was nervous, so FUCK THE HATerz.

Get ma hair done

So I wanna mix up my hairstyle, so when I saw this 'virtual hairstyle' website shit, I thought kerching kerching. Here is me looking like a complete twat.

Look 1: Mariah Carey inspired, 'BEACH BABE' (my personal favourite)

Look 2: Jessica Biel meets Jen Aniston. 'Red Carpet Div@'

Look 3: Megan Fox (I obvs look fitter then her) lolz..

Although I look totz hot in all these, I think I'll be sticking to my own hair for a while..

Thanks www.taaz.com/-- you made me feel a million $$$

Salem

This song mixes a whimsical, eerie sound, with beats you can dance to. The singers voice has been warped, with bits of singing that almost sound like they are underwater. It sounds best cranked up. I'm imagining it in a forest with like, fairy lights, and smoke. Or maybe people in a circle doing some voodoo shit. Whatever, just listen to it! It really grows on you.

making fwendz part 1

On a recent night out, out of the dark light, mist and fog, appeared a short, slightly plump man, by the name of Sean. He took a liking to my friend Nina, and through her pleads of 'ew, get me away', I forced her to cooperate and I filmed it. LIFE IS FUN!

A day in the lyfe

Every month or so I like to blog about my day or whatever, so heres a blog entry about yesterday.

So, I woke up, at 2, standard slobz daily routine, and mosy on down to the computer. Check the twitter, write to some celebrity, they never reply, life's a bitch, and then I listen to Dominant Legs- My Girls, about 7 times.

I meet my friend and we are feeling spontaneous, so we head to Trocodero, since i've never been. I have a major wedgie so am already feeling stressy on top of the pounding sun on my skin. Gross. We get there and I'm overwhelmed with how cool the place is; a massive bumper cars thing, Ben and Jerrys, Cinnabon, Arcade games. I'm literally in heaven. The hot Japanese tourists are also a huge bonus (lolz). We then walk up and down this underground dance bit, where loads of people with serious dance skillz are bustin' some movez, and we must look like such creeps because we're just standing there in awe, probably drooling or something weird like that. I all of a sudden see a bowling alley and suddenly proclaimed that 'THIS IZ MA FAVE PLACE EVA' (or something like that).

Sweat trickling down my curtain fringe, I walk out and to crowded Covent Garden, because as I tell Lucy 'We need to see hot people in Rokit, litch'. She rolls her eyes and agrees. As we see the throngs of people 'For the love of F' is repeated about 20 twenty times (are new most used saying). We finally get to the store, and along the way mutter 'P-P-P-P' a way to adress a 'hipster' in our presence. Bcoz we're kl 2k11 styl. No money in our pockets, we scour over the racks of clothes anyways, in the hope we'll see somebody decent looking-- don't ask why. We're desperate just to see someone beautiful. Shortly, we get pissed off and overly hot, so start hyperventilating, surrounded by the standard 'i'm so indie' gals wearing denim jackets, backcombed blonde hair, red lipstick and fake Doc Martens. So, we clink up the stairs, out of the bloody sauna, and back to the 'fresh' air.

Lucy and I pile onto the train, feeling deflated and craving some ice cream. Because we're such rebels we crank some Swedish House and sing really badly, loudly (ldn kidz) when some indian woman was like giggling, nodding, as if to say 'yah girls yah, do your thang'. Right... So we stop off and get two massive scoops of gelat0 and talk about how traveling and our interests.

Gotta Have You

This is a really cute song. 'No amount of coffee, no amount crying, no amount of whisky, no amount of wine'-- the lyrics are really simple, but it's a moving love song, that's soft and catchy.

Fawkes is a new indie pop band from London. Their live perfomances are energetic, fun, and the songs they play are infectious-- you can't help but bounce along to it (or mosh if you're feeling CRAY-Z) THEY ARE GONNA BE BIG.

I was lucky enough to catch up with them in the tiny backstage of Cargo. ENJOY

We're No Heroes Interview

We're No Heroes are a band from Cardiff, who make really catchy tunes, give the lads a listen:www.werenoheroes.com

A: When did you all start We're No Heroes?

Dewey: we started the band in Chicago in summer 2009, luke (drummer) moved out there so we went to visit him. TC: we practiced for a few days in a downtown studio where loads of famous artists have recorded, except it was situated in a run down back alley fish market in a building which resembled some kind of old mafia hideout, so wasn’t all that glamorous. Luke: Its kind of where it all started.. although we had no name yet, or any idea of what we wanted the band would sound like, we just knew that this is what we wanted to do.

A: I think some of your songs sound slightly like Foals. Are there any bands in particular you wanted to band to sound like?

Luke: we truly don't try and sound like anyone but ourselves. We love music and we all enjoy different kinds of music, so when we bring it together its our sound. Dewey: the main thought behind it was we wanted to create something new and different TC: we also wanted to go against a lot of the cliche stuff we saw all the time in the local scene.

A: What do you all normally get up to on the weekend?

Dewey: If we're not working, we're partying. usually getting off our faces and losing our minds. Luke: then cool down by solving ridiculously large maths equations and discussing the present economical climate. TC: ..or tweeting!!

A: If you were a superhero what would your power be and why?

TC: the power to make people dance on command. Dewey: To see into the future- Music is all about being in the right place at the right time, this would help.
Luke: teleportation obviously, would make getting to gigs alot easier.

A: Do you guys have a goal you'd like the band to reach apart from playing really good live performances?

Dewey: to tour the world. TC: Ultimately we just want everyone to hear our music and maybe in the long run for the band to be our job. Luke: its a passion but also what we want as a career.

A: Who is your hero?

Dewey: I don't have one, heroes are not what their cracked up to be, hence the name of the band. TC: yeah heroes are overatted… so um, Ron Burgundy! Luke: Dewey & Tom….but mostly Dewey!

Thanks guys, good luck in your upcoming year.
